| When the tyres on your
forklift need to be replaced some technical background is needed to make the
right choice. First of all you
need to check if your current tyres are satisfactory or not. When pneumatic
tyres are mounted there is always the chance of downtime due to flat tyres,
also pneumatics don`t give the forklift the stability like solid tyres do.
When solid tyres are mounted check if this gives enough comfort for both the
driver as well as the goods he`s handling. Down here are some technical details regarding the ForkBoss solid industrial tyres. If you have more specific questions regarding these details feel free to send us an e-mail. |
| In the Available Sizes link you see the ForkBoss tyres come in two different types. The reason you need to make a choice in one of these 2 different types is because not all forklift manufacturers use the same type of rims on their forklifts. In order for you to make the right choice check the different types below: |
| "STANDARD" TYPE: As
the name says this is the most commonly used type of solid tyre.
If at this moment your forklift is equipped with pneumatic tyres you need
this standard type tyre when replacing your pneumatics for ForkBoss
industrial tyres. An advantage is you can use the same rims when you replace
your pneumatics for ForkBoss standard solid tyres. When replacing your
old tyres for ForkBoss solid tyres make sure you know the rim width you
need. Pneumatic tyres can be mounted on different rim widths but this is
definitely not possible when you mount solid tyres. Most of the time you
will find the rim width on the centerplate of the rim. In the Available Sizes link the rim width of the ForkBoss tyres are next to all the tyre sizes that are available at this moment. |
|
| "NOK" TYPE: The "Nok" type tyres are specially developed for mounting on so called 4-piece "Lemmerz" type rims. The big advantage of this type of tyres is when mounting the tyre on the rim no more loose rings are needed to keep the tyre in the right place on the rim. The "Nok" type tyre already has all required rings sort of vulcanized within itself. If your forklift is already equipped with these "Nok" type tyres you can mount the ForkBoss "Nok" tyre without any problems. |
